We love the feeling of your work! What is the next step?

Great! I'd love to hear your story and connect. Send me a message and we will set up a time to talk via Facetime / Zoom, or to grab a drink in Mérida, Yucatan. I will visit and I'll walk you through my pricing and explain all of your options. This really is the best way to see if we are a good fit.

What is the most important part of choosing a photographer?

Connection. If you walked outside and tried to make a picture of a stranger, it would feel crazy awkward. It would be darn hard to get a picture that captured real feelings or any degree of intimacy. The same is true for me, I can only capture moments if you feel comfortable around me. I want to capture something real in my images, so, it's pretty important to get to know each other!
Also, you need to click with the photographer's personality. Often the two people you will spend the most time with on your wedding day are the photographer and your spouse. It's important to choose a photographer that you get along with.

Why are some photographers so much more expensive than others?

Many new photographers cut corners on things like backing up files, spending time getting to know their clients, maintaining photography equipment, computer equipment and so on. Many simply lack the experience to produce consistent work. Their rates reflect these facts.
I believe that if something is worth doing it is worth doing in the best way that I can. This takes time and dedication. Many people are unaware that the most time consuming parts of wedding photography are not the photography itself. After spending 8-12 hours with you on your wedding day, my work has only just started. It takes another 30-50 hours of work to choose the best photos, edit them for color, design a photo book (if you're getting one) and to finish all of the other tasks needed to send your finished photos to you.

What are your rates?

I offer various packages based on the type of wedding your planning whether its a wedding in a local venue, a destination wedding, or an intimate elopement. Please contact me to arrange an appointment to see more of my work in person and discuss the other wonderful options I have available for you or just fill out my contact form and I will send you my Wedding Information Guide.

How do your collections work?

It’s different for every wedding but my three main collections are available from 8 hours, 10 hours and 12 hours. I want to be there for the full story of your day–for most couples that means I arrive about 90 minutes before your makeup is finished and leave after the bride throws her bouquet.

How much coverage do we need?

In order to adequately capture the whole day with its flow – with all its little details, the anticipation and excitement before the ceremony, the tears of joy and the high spirits afterwards – I have a minimum coverage of 8 hours. During your consult, we go over your wedding day and which collection would work best for you and allow me to capture everything we need for your big day!

Do you offer custom packages?

Absolutely! Contact me for a custom quote

How far in advance should we book a photographer for our wedding?

I suggest you consider your photographer in the early stages of your wedding planning. The sooner the better, to ensure your date is available! If you would like to know, if I am still available on your wedding date, please fill in the contact form and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Can we meet?

YES! I meet most of my couple via FaceTime or zoom but we can meet around a nice coffee, or a glass of wine if you are in the Yucatan area. I think it's is really important as I want you to get to know me and choose me as your photographer not only because you love the style of my work but also because we get along!

How do I begin the booking process?

Once I confirm availability, the next step is to figure out how many hours of coverage suits you best. I'll then send you a contract along with the retainer amount that I require to secure your booking. The remaining balance will be due 30 days before your wedding date. Since I receive requests for the same dates I book on a first come, first serve basis.
Payment methods accepted include cash, bank transfer or PayPal.
If you happen to live in Yucatan or are visiting, I'd love to connect with you over a coffee or a beer. If you live elsewhere, I'd be happy to arrange a zoom or phone call to answer any questions you may have.

How much is a deposit payment?

If you would like to proceed and secure a wedding date then it's a 50% deposit payment with the balance to be paid at least 15 days before your wedding.
For a couple's session or family shoot, please get in touch for more information.

Can you recommend any other suppliers?

Yes, I sure can. I work with so many wonderful and varied suppliers and would love to share my recommendations with you when you book so you can have the most amazing team behind you.

Where are you based? Do you travel?

Absolutely! I am based in Yucatan, Mexico, but cover weddings and portrait session in Mexico and internationally. My passport is up to date and ready to go. I’d love to go with you to your destination! I love exploring new places and I am always up for a new adventure! If you are booking for a session or destination wedding that is outside of Mexico, I do ask that travel costs be covered in addition to regular pricing.

What about travel costs?

Travel in Mexico is included in every wedding package. As I work all over the world, cost for overseas weddings are to be discussed personally.

Do you offer engagement shoots?

Definitely! In my opinion, engagement shootings are the best way for us to get to know each other and It’ll help you feel more relaxed in front of the camera on the day of your wedding. If you book a full day- package/12 hours experience, it's included. These photographs are just perfect for your wedding invitation cards, guest books, slideshows or for social media post.

When should we do our engagement session?

This is entirely up to you – but here’s a few things to consider. Do you want to use your photos for Save the Dates or invitations? Do you want any printed for the wedding day – like a display table, or a canvas, or for your guestbook? Don’t worry though! Let us know what your goal is, and we’ll help you plan.

We would love to make a portrait shoot of the bridal couple on the wedding day, is this possible?

Yes, of course! The couple shoot on the wedding day is an important part of every wedding package. The estimated time frame for this shoot is 45 to 60 min. The best time for this shoot is before the ceremony or after we arrived at the wedding location, when your friends and family are occupied with appetizers and drinks.

Can we have two photographers?

I generally work by myself, but a second professional photographer is possible for every wedding. I do recommend it for larger scale weddings. A second camera offers another perspective on your wedding as well a higher diversity of images and motives. Also this is a great option for some large families who would like a photographer just for themselves.

Do you offer albums?

Yes! A variety of styles and sizes of albums from one of the best album vendors in Mexico. You are welcome to order at the time of booking or any time down the line, even long after your wedding.

Do you offer cinematography?

I don’t offer cinematography services for the time being, however I can recommend you a couple of brilliant wedding cinematographers. Please let me know if you are interested and I can get you their information.

What’s your Style?

Photojournalistic, authentic, emotional and timeless. My goal is to document your wedding day as it happens in an artistic way that tells your unique wedding story. It’s more than just taking pictures it's about observing human interactions and anticipating that little moment before it's gone. This day is about you so that’s how I shoot it. The result is a candid style which documents the events in an honest and natural way.

Do you pose us at all?

A true photojournalist does not pose people, but I may ask you to stand in a certain spot for lighting or to include a specific background. Therefore, to capture a photograph that conveys emotion, first you must be comfortable showing your emotions with your significant other. I love to get my couples interacting with one another, cuddling in close and sharing their favourite things about one another. I prefer capturing the candid and romantic moments of your wedding day, using natural light but if that’s not possible I can use flashes to create artistic compositions. My style is to capture events as they unfold organically, but I also enjoy capturing couples by themselves by giving them some guidance.

We are not good in front of the camera. What do you suggest?

I totally know how you feel. Trust me when I say there’s nothing to be nervous about. My style is to document your natural emotions and presence and I’ll just going to keep things fun and romantic. There’s no need for you to “model,” instead I’ll help guide you through things to do and ways to keep the focus on each other, not on the camera.I do this through some prompts that will allow you to be yourself and relax.

This is one of the reasons my package includes an engagement session–it’s the perfect way for us to get to know each other and for you to get a little practice in. You’ll be 100% comfortable on your wedding day!

While working, do you consider our personal and individual wishes and ideas?

Of course, I do! If you have individual ideas for your photographs, I am very happy to realize all of your visions! It would be fantastic, if you could let me know about your personal expectations beforehand. You could also bring example pictures to our meeting, if you like. For me, it is most important to find out, what kind of photography you like and that we take images of your wedding, which are just as you wished them to be.

How much time should we allow for the photo shoots on our wedding day?

It completely depends on your personal event and planning. To discuss your ideas and expectations, a pre-wedding meeting is essential.

-Pre-wedding Preparations bride: 1- 1,5 hrs.
-Pre-wedding Preparations groom: 30 min.
-Family and group photographs after the ceremony. 45 min.
-Couple shoot of the bridal couple: 60 min.
These time frames are estimates according to my experiences and remain variable.

What if you cannot make it to our wedding?

* Knock on wood * IF something do happen to me, there are two other photographers that can take over. As well, I have trusted photographers I work with consistently that I would hire as my replacement if a need arise. Therefore, for this reason I don't book more than one wedding a day!

What happens if we cancel our wedding?

Unfortunately things happen and couples need to either postpone or cancel their wedding. If you choose a new date and I am available we can reschedule my services. If your wedding is called off and you wish to cancel my services, I will send you a termination contract for all parties to sign. The retainer is non-refundable as I will have turned down other couples for your date.

What if it rains?

If it rains on your wedding day, please do not freak out. It happens a lot in Yucatan summers, and it’s actually raining in some of the photos you just viewed. I’ll make it look good, Promise. For engagement sessions, we’ll simply reschedule to our mutual next available date.

How will you dress for my wedding?

I believe in looking professional. So that means I won't be dressed like I’m going to a Sunday BBQ in t-shirts and flip flops. I will dress for the weather and in work-smart style. For example, you will find me in dress shirts, dress pants, dress shoes.

Do we feed you?

Since most of my coverage are for several hours I’d say, yes please! I also advise to have my dinner served at the same time as you so I don't miss any key moments. I generally don’t shoot while guests are eating but I will of course photograph speeches and anything else that happens besides the chewing.

How many photos will we receive?

For engagement/couples sessions you will receive approximately 75-125 images. I shoot with a story-telling perspective, so it depends on what the session involves and how long the session goes. Then you will receive an easy to download, online gallery to share with friends and family.

For weddings, you can expect approximately 50-75 images per hour of shooting. Typically couples receive 400-600/600-900 images.
You will receive your images on a custom USB flash drive along with an online gallery. All images are full resolution jpegs with basic editing for you to print at your leisure.

Do you take also some photos of details (tables, decorations) and some group pictures?

Yes of course, these elements are part of the day, and I know you spent time preparing it all. These images are not necessarily displayed on my blog, but of course, these will be part of your reportage. Group pictures as well. We would talk ahead of time of what pictures you are thinking, with whom, so that we make it a very smooth process on the day.

Which resolution do you choose for our photographs?

You’ll receive all images in high resolutions without watermarks, logos or similar. Prints of up to 1m width are not a problem.

Are you editing the photographs?

Yes, it is part of how I tell your story, and therefore all the photos are edited in my style and digitally optimized in professional photo editing software. I give a lot of attention to on each image, creating a whole set of fine art photos which will be print ready when you receive them. It's actually a part of the process I enjoy, putting the whole story of your day together.

Can you Photoshop my arms to look skinnier? Make my lipstick a different color? Etc.

This really isn’t my style. I want natural moments – trust me when I say you are beautiful as is. Remember the day as it was. Your friends and family love you for who you are – not whether or not you have the most toned arms, or the perfect shade of lipstick. Yes I edit your photos – but not in this way. If once you get your photos back, and there’s something that truly bothers you that can be fixed by Photoshop please contact me for a custom quote.

Do I get all of my photos? And the unedited ones?

No, I do not – and you wouldn’t want them! I go through all of the photos and make sure I tell your story in the best way possible. I don’t give out unedited photos simply because that’s not a representation of my work. I eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that aren’t as flattering.

Do you include the RAW images?

Unfortunately I don’t deliver raw files to clients. This is because the editing of the images (to make the JPEG) is a part of my creative process. It demonstrates who I am as an artist every bit as much as the way I make an image with my camera. You will receive a set of high resolution .jpg images that are suitable for prints, albums and wall art.

How long does it take until we receive the photos?

For engagement sessions, you will receive your photos within 2 to 3 weeks
For wedding photos, I usually send a couple of images in the next couple of days. Generally, I have finished the editing process around 8-10 weeks after your wedding. In high season this can unfortunately sometimes take up to 12 weeks. It always depends on the length of the coverage, but I do understand that you want your photos while the excitement is still there! If your collection includes a fine art album, you will receive your digital images as well as the first draft layout spreads of your album. After the final design has been approved, the albums generally take 4 weeks for printing and delivery. If you need your photos earlier, please get let me know, we will find a way!

What should we do with all of our photos?

This is actually a major issue these days. I get an email every couple of months from past clients who have changed computers or lost a hard drive and they can't find their wedding photos! Things on computers are by definition impermanent.
It's so so important to make a plan to print your photos! I remember hearing a story about someone who could only save one thing from their burning house; it was their wedding photo. Making a Photo Book from your wedding or Guest Book from your Engagement Session is one of my favorite things. They are works of art, and printed photos are truly the best way to make sure images last!

How long will you keep our images?

Once your photos have been uploaded to the gallery, they will be hosted there for the next ten years. You are welcome to download them as many times as you like! I personally keep backups of every file too–they aren’t going anywhere.

What about copyrights? Can we print our own files?

Yes you will receive carefully selected images in full resolution on a flash drive you are allowed to print the images as many times as you want.
